What Go Local Energy actually does

We are not a solar installer that also arranges financing. We are a development and finance company that builds a solar project the way a real estate developer builds a building: we originate it, structure the ownership, raise the capital, manage the engineering and construction, and own or place the finished asset. We do it where the economics are strongest: Puerto Rico and Hawaii, where power is expensive and the grid is unreliable, and select mainland markets where commercial portfolios can be built at scale.

Origination and development.

We find and qualify commercial projects, run the energy analysis, and take a site from a utility bill to a fundable project. Rooftop, ground mount, and carport, with or without battery storage.

Capital.

Development capital, construction financing, and long-term ownership capital for commercial solar and storage. Our partners do not have to fund projects off their own balance sheet.

Tax equity structuring.

Federal investment tax credits are worth 30% or more of project cost, and most local contractors and building owners cannot use them efficiently. We structure partnerships that monetize those credits, including credit transfer under Section 6418, so the value lands in the project instead of being left on the table.

Engineering and construction oversight.

Design review, quality control, and project management across the build, with the actual installation performed by vetted local EPC crews in each market.

Puerto Rico and Hawaii pay some of the highest electricity rates under the U.S. flag, and both run on grids that go down. That combination is why commercial solar and battery storage pencil faster there than almost anywhere else, and it is where this company was built. From that base we develop and finance commercial projects on the mainland, where the same structures work at portfolio scale.
