Go Local Energy, LLC is a commercial solar development and finance company working in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the mainland U.S., headquartered in San Juan. We were built by people who have actually installed commercial solar, not by a fund that decided to buy some.
That background is the reason we work the way we do. We know what it costs to put a system on a hotel roof, what an interconnection delay does to a schedule, and why good commercial contractors lose good projects. So we built the company around the missing piece, which is capital and structure, and we partner with the local contractors who do the work in each market rather than competing with them.
We chose our home markets on purpose. Puerto Rico and Hawaii sit at opposite ends of the country and share the same economics: imported fuel, the highest power prices under the U.S. flag, and grids that fail often enough that businesses budget for it. Our team has worked in both, and we also take on select commercial projects in the U.S. mainland.
